Here are my four fav pieces that I have collected from garage and tag sales. I love the pink piece because the stones are so unique and of course I love pink. The crown because I love crowns and tiaras. The leaf looking pc because the vintage crystals look like real swarovski and are so big and beautiful. The oriental pc because it is so unusual.
Here is the close up of the oriental pc, it looks like a samurai or Buddhist figures praying in front of a Buddhist temple. It so gorgeous and made from a mother of pearl. I don't really know much about it but I would like to. It looks very old. If anyone knows something or has any ideas, please leave me a comment.
This pc is near and dear to my heart because it was my grandmothers. It is beautiful and looks like 18k gold. I love the dainty little gems and cameo. I guess this is how I became so obsessed with old jewelry. My grandmother had many pieces on her dresser and I always admired them. I wish I would have kept some after she passed but I was young and not of that mind yet.
This is my first show and tell Sunday and I think it is a wonderful idea. I love to share my passions (obsessions). I started collecting vintage jewelry a few years back. I just love the look of old jewelry. In this pic it shows an oriental bowl on my dressing table full of bling.
The ring in the top right corner is huge and quite interesting and yes I have worn it on occasion just for fun. I sometimes wear my fabulous finds and then other times I use them in different projects. One year after a huge collecting spree I invited my girl friends over and we made jeweled frames. It was a blast.
This is a close up is of some of the jewels on my 18 by 20 inch mirror that hangs above my bed. It was hard to photograph way up there and well lets just say it needs a bit of dusting. I have used a few pieces on some of my items for sale in my Studio Pink store on Etsy
I used little cherub figures in the corner. It is a bit over the top but I still love it. I had so much fun over the years collecting various pieces, some of which just set in a bowl or on my dressing table. The most fun is the hunt or collecting. I can get very competitive just ask my sister and niece. We all love to collect and it is always a race to see who finds the jewelry table first when we go junking.
Pick up some bling today. You'll love it.

How could you ever just give away the bling for what, frames? oh yeah, that is what friends do. Once you collect things I guess you have to work hard at not hoarding them, sharing for the picture frames was a precious gesture of friendship. I like the mirror idea, I will have to consider, if I ever have enough bling to do that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!!!
Fabulous bling bling. I have a soft spot for cameos too.

So pretty! I love your mirror. Read your post about your parents' anniversary - my parents celebrated their 50th almost 2 years ago, and it was just the best party ever. What a blessing!
