Newbies in the Shop Update

It's baby season and I have the perfect ensemble for you. This new set; "Silver Spoon In her Mouth" is perfect for your next baby shower. The baby buggy would be a beautiful cake topper and the antique baby spoon would be perfect tied onto the baby gift. This antique spoon is another one of my up north vintage finds. Gotta Love it!

I Promised I would share my creations with you and here they are. Remember my awesome finds on my Mother's day weekend at Due South antiques in Gaylord.? Well here are a few of them that I transformed for my Etsy shop. Isn't she just gorgeous? This is a vintage image on glass (see the reverse side below) made into a soldered pendant. I added a swarovski crystal to the bottom and mossy green silk ribbon to the top.

Here is the reverse side of the image. It has a ghostly quality to it. It is a vintage piece but in excellent condition. I only had to add a new swarovski crystal and ribbon for the necklace.

Here is a view of the whole piece on a vintage mirror from a vanity set that I picked up at the same antique store. Not sure how I am going to alter the vanity set yet maybe with vintage jewelry. Do you have any cool ideas?

Here is an awesome Smelly Cat original painting done by my darling daughter. He is so fun with his wire whiskers and glitter collar. He isn't smelly he is wearing the very expensive Polo Men's cologne

He adds a light scent to the studio, which makes me feel as though I am in the company of a dark tall and handsome man, working along side me.

Just don't tell MR. Mya. This painting is done in acrylics on a 16 by 20 canvas. Didn't she do a fabulous job?

This little beauty is another Tussy Mussy Cone for the shop. It is called Ice Pink and it was done in a shabby chic or Victorian style. Either way it has a very romantic look to it. I shot it using the vintage mirror again.

In the center of the pink daisy is a vintage brooch I found at the Due South Antique store. It is really an unusual piece. It was in great condition and so lovely that I wasn't sure whether to use it in an altered piece or not.

Just a little eye candy for a wet Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by.

  4. Oh Mya, everything is beautiful!!! I love that tussie and the pendant! Love the soft colors of that tussie! I am going to Mackinaw for a week this summer, I think we are going to have to stop in Gaylord. Actually, we are planning on taking the boys to The Call Of The Wild there anyway! I grew up about 20 mins. from Gaylord and spent a lot of time there!

YES, I really have five boys, lolol! Our house is quite the circus ~ but it is fun! I am lucky to have a hubby that lets me have a pink frilly hosue! He thinks I at least deserve that since I didnt get the daughter I wanted so bad.

The Smelly Cat painting is too cute! Your daughter is very talented!

    Hugs,
    Amy
