A little pop of color will do it. Great way you wake you up this morning. A little cup of joe doesn't hurt. It is almost here, so much to do to get ready for the beach trip, can't wait to feel sand between my toes and sun on my back. Oh, and it will be so nice to be able to put on a pair of flip flops, swim suit and nothing else. But not so fast I've got plenty to do between now and then.

Cupcake Month, Yum
Special Guest Host Today
This is Melrose your guest host for today's blog entry and she would like to give you a quick make-up lesson. She thinks she is quite the glamour girl. Alright, Melrose says to first start with a mosturizer, all over your face and then... well it's just easier if you go to this five minute make-up application video on YouTube...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-P5bXdOBRk
There, wasn't that easy. I bet you look great, too. The next thing that Melrose would like to present is the latest dream journal she has been oooing and ahhhing about.
It would get done a lot sooner if she would just keep her hands off of it. It may look a little creepy but it is kinda cool. Of course this is the opinion of a doll with oversized eyes that change color with the pull of a string. Did anyone have a doll like this in the good old 70's? I didn't but even big girls can play with dolls too. hee, hee

Save the Planet
One thing on my wish list of a must do before I die kinda thing is to join an expedition with an organization like Earthwatch. http://www.earthwatch.org/exped/sullivan.html
This link goes to an expedition in the Bahamas.
I would love to help save the planet and learn something in the mean time. I have always been a crusader for nature but I really don't set a very good example. I don't recycle very often and I am a wasteful consumer, but maybe I could do my part by contributing in another way. There are many expeditions out there to many different countries and I am sure that you would meet the most interesting people. Can you imagine spending the day along the beach counting sea turtle eggs or hiding out at night until they hatch and helping them find their way to the sea safely. Then documenting all your data and go back to your little beach huts for a clam bake, guitar music and chat. Well this how I romanticize it. I do wonder though with how pricey these trips are, does the money really go to the cause? What do you think?

Easter Wishes
Happy good Friday to you all. My Easter wish for all of you is that you find the day to be as magical and spiritual as it was when you were young and you would wake up in the morning to hard boiled eggs, chocolate bunnies and hidden Easter baskets. Then dress in your Sunday best complete with Easter bonnet and go to church. After church came Easter egg hunts and boiled dinner. Then it was time weather permitting to go out in your new spring jacket and fly your new kite. After the perfect afternoon of sunshine you were free to dive into your giant chocolate rabbitt. First you nibble the ear then you get brave and eat those candy eyes and before you know it there goes the head. Well maybe not every Easter was quite this perfect but I do remember at least one that followed this scenario pretty closely.
I also remember one Easter morning waking up to my mothers hysteria because someone had gotten up during the night and Eaten most of the coconut bunny cake, that took her many hours to make. There was a little trail of coconut from the kitchen to the living room. This was almost as bad as the year the cat ate the Thanksgiving Day turkey. Well after many interrogations it came out that it wasn't the beloved children that ate the cake but a guest spending the weekend. Whoops, was it the coconut in her teeth that gave it away?
Well, I really just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Easter and oh I almost forgot I wanted to share with you Ms. Martha's tip for little Easter cup table favors. Click on the link below for more info.
Wow, leave it to Martha to have an extra complicated link to her site. I do love everything that she does but sometimes it is just a little too perfect and makes me feel pretty inept. If you have a special or a funny Easter story to share leave it here at this post.
Now bring on the chocolate bunnies!

A Little Surprise
As I was running around this morning trying to get ready for my day I noticed something among my studio mess. It was a few pink things stuck in a nest with a sweet little pink bird perched in the middle. It wasn't finished yet, it looked like someone had started putting a little assemblage together. I thought how sweet that's what my daughter was doing in my bedroom for long yesterday. She even made a little crown for Jewel (that's what I named her) the bird. That was so sweet for her to start it for me and leave it as a surprise for me to find. Well you know I quickly hurried around and finished it. After it was put all together a added a little note to her Ribbon. It says "Love Comes In Small Packages" I thought that this was fitting since I viewed this as a little loving gesture on her part. Thanks Dani girl.
You can find Jewel and her nest for sale in my Etsy shop. http://www.studiopink.etsy.com/
I am not sure I want to part with her but then I will just be passing on the love.
"Love Comes In Small Packages" Pass it on!

Mermaid Dreams
This starfish tiara was a special order for a girl lucky enough to be getting married on the beach in June. I hope she loves the crown. I am sure she will look beautiful in it. Kellibeth, I hope you have an unforgettable day and beautiful weather.
Well, it is time to go back to laundry and dishes and my mermaid day dreams. Don't forget to visit me at http://www.studiopink.etsy.com/

Surprize in the Mail
I just love the little fairy princess card she is so cute! I saw her on one of your posts and hoped I would get something like her. The package of goodies were great too. There is a piece of trim in there that I can use for my next project. Finding treasures in the mail is a great way to start the weekend.
She is just perfect for me. I will display her on my inspiration board.
