It began with an innocent child so full of life. Her eyes full of wonderment and curiosity. This young soul is on her first spiritual journey and she doesn't even know it. Or does she?
She was in loving hands and surrounded by her friends and family.
The process began in the entrance of the church with the prayer of deliverance and the lighting of the candles.
It was there that the priest laid his hand to her head and baby Grace was blessed with the life giving spirit.
Baby Grace wide-eyed and ready to receive the Sacrament.
The Baptismal bath is being prepared for the child.
The scent of sacred herbal smoke fills the air. This ritual is thought to arouse the spirit of devotion and echo the odor of sanctity.
It is time for the sanctification of the waters. The bath is called Enlightenment and receives the blessing. The candles are lit.
The washing of regeneration and the renewal of the Holy Spirit. The bottle is blessed and the baptismal receives the oils.
Since the beginning of the world, water , so humble, a wonderful a creature, has been the source of life and fruitfulness. By submerging the body it brings an enlightenment to the newly Baptised.
The anointing of the oils to the feet, hands, and head.
Anoint means to be in the presence of God.
The last half of the sacrament is done in her newly blessed gown. She may now advance to the front of the church for the remainder of the ceremony.
The prayers are sited and the ceremony concludes with Baby Grace being the first of the church members to receive communion. She is now a member of the church and a brand new christian.
It is now time for this little princess to greet her family and friends who so lovingly supported her.
With the presence of an angel and the help of her God parents she is lifted up in illumination.
Thank you for your visit. I just wanted to share this beautiful day in the life of my Grand Princess.
Peace to all and your Spirit.
