Movie Talk

I thought we could share a little movie talk between friends. My lastest movie adventure was The Secret Life of Bees this weekend. It really is a must see. The acting is great and the story is moving. Most of the theater audience shed at least one tear or maybe two. The book is even better so if nothing else read the book!
My previous movie trip was to see Nights in Rodanthe. Excellent romantic date night movie. I have to say I liked the movie a little better than the book. Another old favorite of mine that I happened to catch on Encor this weekend is Prelude to a Kiss. Of course, I love almost every Meg Ryan movie.

Pink Saturday meets The Women

Happy Pink Saturday.
Girls Night, We saw the new movie; THE WOMEN

It was witty, fun and oh yes, Meg Ryan still looks fabulous!
This movie has met with mixed reviews; I would give it a 6.5 out of 10. Based on the girly humor and fun. My girlfriends said it was okay. I found a link to The Vault Blog with movie clips and relationship advice.

Unlike Sex in the City there was no sex or outrageous outfits. Just relationship troubles and true girl bounding. A definite chic flick to save for girls night.

Your hubby may want to see the movie just for the spritzer girl :(

Not the kind of chic you want helping your man with his Christmas shopping.

Bet Midler was as fun as usual in her short appearance. She played a ganja smoking wacky talent agent.

Four fabulous friends; what else could a girl ask for?
Girlfriends always keep each other in the vault!

Don't forget to visit our Dear Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for links to the the blogs in the pink today.

This post is dedicated to all my girlfriends out there. Friendships are special cherish them!

Movie Minute

I was browsing through recent movie reviews today. it looks like the movie "Juno" is a great snip it of real-life situations. Which is just the kind of movie I find most appealing. The acting looks suburb. There seems to be a lot of wit, hopefully not too much, dealing with such a serious topic. I think it will be very moving and entertaining but I have to worry about whether it sends the right message to it's teenage audience on how devastating teenage pregnancy really is. I hope it pro trays the problem with the seriousness it deserves. Aside from all that it looks like a it has all the makings of great girls night-out movie. "Juno" received great reviews but then so did it's sound track and I checked that out, eh, I hope they are more on track with the movie. Check out the reviews at www.rottentomatoes.com/m/juno/ What kind of name is JUNO anyway? Cute but different.
